LG is reportedly working on a new line of widescreen (16:10 and 16:9 aspect ratio) displays for low-cost notebooks like the Eee PC and HP 2133 Mini-Note. DigiTimes reports that the company will start with 8.9 inch 1024 x 600 panels, which happens to be the same resolution supported by the upcoming Eee PC 900, and later bring a 1024 x 576 10.1 inch screen panel to market as well as a 9.4 inch screen.

The 1024 x 600 panel will reportedly be used in upcoming notebooks by Acer, HP, and possibly other companies like Asus.
