nb205 3g

It looks like we can add the Toshiba NB205 to the growing list of netbooks that are available from US wireless carriers. While neither Verizon nor AT&T list the NB205 on their web sites, jkOnTheRun reports that Best Buy sent out a flyer this weekend advertising that you can get the mini-laptop at a discount price when you sign up…

Toshiba Mini NB205-N330 review

back angle

The Toshiba NB205 is one of the more popular netbooks launched in the second half of 2009 thanks to its large touchpad, roomy keyboard, and stellar battery life. Toshiba recently launched an updated version of the NB205 that ships with Windows 7 Starter Edition and a larger hard drive than earlier models. In some ways, the new model can be…

Windows 7 + netbooks = lower battery life?

Last week Chris Guthrie at netbook Reviews ran a battery test on two virtually identical netbooks: An Asus Eee PC 1008HA with Windows 7 and one with Windows XP. He found that the Windows 7 model ran for an hour longer than the Windows XP model, which made it look like the operating system actually helped improve battery life on…

Unboxing the Toshiba NB205-N330 with Windows 7 Starter – Video

Toshiba nb205-330

Toshiba announced an update to its netbook line this week. The new Toshiba NB205-N330 looks a lot like the Toshiba NB205-N310 we’ve come to grow and love over the last few months. It has the same excellent keyboard, wide touchpad, and high capacity battery. But there are a few things that make the new model different. First and foremost, it…

Netbooks account for 10 percent of Toshiba’s US laptop sales

Toshiba was relatively late to enter the US netbook market. HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, MSI, and a handful of other companies all launched mini-laptops in the US before Toshiba finally brought the NB205 to our shores this summer. But the Toshiba NB205 has been met with positive reviews and it’s available from a wide range of sources including online…

Toshiba Mini NB205 benchmarked

Kevin Tofel from jkOnTheRun picked up a Toshiba Mini NB205 the other day. While the netbook superficially has a lot in common with the MSI Wind U100 he’s been using for the last year, it has a few major differences. First, it has a much wider touchpad, but it also has a chiclet-style keyboard and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280…
