Packard Bell Dot M/A and M/U unboxed

The Packard Bell Dot M/A is an 11.6 inch laptop that looks an awful lot like an Acer Aspire 1810. And that’s because it basically is an Acer Aspire 1810 with a different name. Acer owns the Packard Bell brand. But there’s one major difference: Unlike the Acer model, the Packard Bell Dot M/A is available with either an Intel…

Packard Bell Dot M/A now available in the UK

pb dot ma uk

AMD may not be making as big a splash in the netbook space as Intel, or even VIA. But the company’s Athlon L110 64 bit CPU powers the Gateway LT3100 mini-notebook with an 11.6 inch display. At least, that’s what the notebook is called in the US. In Europe, it’s called the Packard Bell Dot M/A, but it’s basically the…

Packard Bell Dot M/A performance tested

17Hot on the heels of last week’s unboxing video, the folks at NetbookWereld have posed a more detailed set of observations about the Packard Bell Dot M/A mini-notebook (also known as a rebadged version of the Gateway LT3100. And like the Gateway version, the Packard Bell M/A gets moderate ratings, at best. The laptop has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x…

Packard Bell Dot M/A unboxed – Video

pb dot ma

The Packard Bell Dot M/A is basically a rebranded Gateway LT3100 that’s available in some parts of Europe. Both Gateway and Packard Bell are subsidiaries of Acer, so it’s likely that the only real difference between these two computers is the branding. That said, Netbookwereld has the first video overview I’ve seen of either laptop. You can see the complete…

Gateway LT3100 does Belgium (as the packard Bell Dot M/A)

packard bell dot ma

Packard Bell has unveiled the Dot M/A mini-notebook in Belgium. And if this 11.6 inch laptop looks familiar, that’s because it’s exactly the same machine as the Gateway LT3100 which is available in the US. Not that this should come as a surprise to anyone. Both Gateway and Packard Bell are subsidiaries of Acer. Like the Gateway LT3100, the Packard…
