Medion launches a 10 inch Honeycomb tablet

Medion LifeTab

Consumer electronics company Medion is launching a new Android tablet called the Medion LifeTab. I’d be surprised if it’s ever released in the US, as Medion’s devices tend to show up primarily in Europe, but it’s expected to launch in time for the holidays in Europe for about 399 Euros. The Medion LifeTab has a moderately unusual design with a…

Medion launches Akoya E1222 Pine Trail netbook

Medion made a little name for itself in the European netbook market with the launch of the first Akoya Mini netbook in 2008. Sure, it was just a rebranded MSI Wind U100, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, since the Wind U100 was one of the best netbooks available at the time. Since then Medion has released a number…

Medion Akoya Mini E1217 goes on sale in Europe

mdeion-akoyaa-as

North American residents don’t hear much about Medion, but they’re extremely popular in Europe. Today, the Medion web store debuted the Akoya Mini E1217. While it’s certainly a sharp looking netbook, the internals are pretty standard fare. The E1217 sports a 10.1″ screen, Atom N270 processor, 1GB DDR2 memory, and a 160GB SATA hard drive. On the plus side, it…

Medion rebrands the MSI Wind U210, slaps on a touchscreen for good measure

akoya 1315

European computer vendor Medion has a long history of offering rebranded versions of MSI netbooks under its own name. And by long history, I mean, they’ve been doing it for the year and a half or so that MSI has been making netbooks in the first place. The nice thing is that sometimes the Medion versions are cheaper and/or have…
