HiVision showcases dirt cheap 7 inch Android tablet

Chinese PC maker HiVision has a tendency to pump out cheap mini-computers that we never see in the US. But that doesn’t stop them from showing up at trade shows. The company is on-hand at CeBIT in Germany this week, and jkkmobile spotted an interesting 7 inch tablet that could sell for as little as $100… in China anyway. No…

hivision-pw700b

HiVision made headlines a while back when the company began showing off a netbook it said could be sold for as little as $98. I’m pretty sure there was a misunderstanding, and that HiVision was looking for distributors that would pay the company $98 for the netbook and turn around and sell it to customers for somewhere between $100 and…

HiVision unveils a full range of netbooks – photo gallery

HiVision netbooks

A few months ago, the mobile tech net was abuzz with news that a Chinese company called HiVision had produced a sub-$100 netbook. Last week I had a chance to catch up with HiVision at CES, and I think I can safely say that there was a slight misunderstanding. The company isn’t looking to sell a $98 computer directly to…
