Razer is updating its Blade line of 12.5 inch and 14 inch gaming laptops.
The new 2.8 pound, 12.5 inch Razer Blade Stealth is a portable notebook with an Intel Core i7-7500U Kaby Lake processor and Intel HD 620 integrated graphics. The notebook measures half an inch thick and offers up to 9 hours of battery life…. when not gaming.
While the integrated graphics should be good enough for some light gaming duties, you can also connect a Razer Core graphics dock if you want to use a desktop-class graphics card.
Want more power on the go? The 14 inch Razer Blade laptop features an Intel Core i7-6700HQ quad-core Skylake processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics.
Razer Blade Stealth
The smaller laptop is designed to be a portable device that’s a good laptop in its own right, and a serious gaming machine when paired with a Razer Core dock and graphics card… but with a 15 watt, dual-core CPU it won’t ever really be quite as powerful as the 14 inch model with its 45 watt, quad-core processor.
Razer’s Blade Stealth has a reasonably affordable starting price of $999… but you’ll have to pay $399 extra if you want the Razer Core graphics dock, and that price doesn’t include an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card.
But let’s just take a look at what you get if you buy the laptop itself:
- 2560 x 1440 pixel (QHD) or 3840 x 2160 pixel (UHD) IGZO multi-touch display options
