Tiny computers like the Intel Compute Stick are, well… tiny. Their small enough to slide into a pants pocket, or to plug directly into the HDMI port of a TV or monitor to turn any display into a fully functional PC.

But the portability comes at a price: most PC sticks only have one or two USB ports, and only a handful of models have Ethernet jacks.

Japanese company Dospara has a solution: they’ve launched a docking station for PC sticks. The Dospara DG-STKLC sells for about $40 (in Japan).

Here’s how it works: plug your PC stick into the dock and you get three full-sized USB ports and an Ethernet jack. There’s also HDMI output and a micro USB port for power, but the PC stick already has those features, so the real advantage of the dock is the extra USB and Ethernet connections.

There’s an HDMI input jack that you can plug the computer directly into, and the dock has USB and micro USB connectors that you plug into the appropriate ports on the PC stick.

While the dock seems to be designed for use with the Diginnos DG-STK3 PC stick, the 5″ x 2.4″ x 2.3″ docking station would probably work with any other computer-on-a-stick that’s not too bulky to fit in place.

Of course, if you really need more ports, maybe you should just buy a slightly larger computer. But if you’ve got your heart set on a stick PC, I suppose it’s nice to have the option of using a few extra cables with it.
