Gigabyte is adding four new models to its Brix line of tiny desktop computers. They all have one thing in common: 6th gen Intel Core “Skylake” processors and Thunderbolt 3 high-speed USB Type-C ports.
For the most part, the new models have similar specs, but here’s a quick run-down of some key differences:
- GB-BSi5HT-6200: Core i5-6200U processor, support for both an M.2 SSD and a 2.5 inch drive
- GB-BSi5T-6200: Core i5-6200U processor, SSD support only (slimmer case design)
- GB-BSi7HT-6500: Core i7-6500U processor, SSD and 2.5 inch drive support
- GB-BSi7T-6500: Core i7-6500U processor, SSD only
Each model has HDMI and Mini DisplayPort outputs with support for dual displays, four USB 3.0 and one Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.1 Type-C port, Gigabit Ethernet, a headset jack, and 2 SODIMM slots for DDR4-2133 memory.
The new Brix mini computers also come with a wireless card that supports dual-band 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2, although Gigabyte says the wireless option may only be available in some regions.
