Asus seems to be preparing a follow-up to the popular Zenfone 2 smartphone, as well as a new thin-and-light notebook as part of the Zenbook family.

The Asus Zenfone 3 and Zenbook UX330 are both listed on the Red Dot Design awards website, even though neither product has been officially launched yet. That’s the same site that spilled the beans on the Lenovo Yoga Book.

zenfone 3

Since Red Dot is focused on design, there aren’t a lot of details about specs for these new devices. But the Zenfone 3 does appear to feature USB type-C, a fingerprint sensor, and laser autofocus for the camera. There’s also support for an optional Smart Flip Cover.

There’s no word on whether this model will feature an Intel Atom chip and PowerVR graphics like the Zenfone 2, or a different chipset.

There’s also a listing for a Zenfone 3 Deluxe, with an all-metal design.

ux330

As for the new Zenbook UX330 laptop, it’s said to feature a Core i series processor, an aluminum body, up to 10 hours of battery life, and a case that measures about 0.54 inches thick.
