Asus may be planning to expand its Zenbook line of ultrabooks with a new model sporting a convertible tablet-style design.
Notebook Italia spotted an FCC listing for a new Asus device called the UX360C, and it turns out a number of retailers around the globe are starting to show product listings for similar models.

Details are scarce, but the model number and the product pages start to paint a picture of a thin-and-light convertible with a low-power processor.
The Asus Zenbook UX360CA appears to have a 13 inch touchscreen display, an Intel Core M3-6Y30 Skylake processor, 8GB of RAM, and Windows 10 software.
The 360 in the name is a pretty good hint that the laptop will have a hinge that lets the screen fold back 360 degrees so you can hold the computer like a tablet.
And the Zenbook UX…CA name suggests it’ll be a cousin to the low-cost Asus Zenbook UX305CA notebook which is a 2.7 pound notebook that measures half an inch thick, and which has an Intel Core M Skylake processor, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of solid state storage, and a 13 inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel or 320 x 1800 pixel display options.
The Asus Zenbook UX305CA has a list price of $699 and up, although Microsoft is currently selling it for $599.
It’s likely that the upcoming UX360CA convertible model will have a higher price tag: European stores seem to be showing prices around € 999 ($1110), although I suspect that the US price would be a bit lower.
Asus is no stranger to the convertible and 2-in-1 tablet/notebook hybrid space. But up until now, most of the company’s convertibles have been part of the Transformer line of products, not the Zenbook line which usually indicates thinner, lighter designs.
Incidentally, the only page I could find on the Asus website that mentions the Zenbook UX360CA is a page for processing returns, where you can choose the UX360CA from a product model drop-down menu.
