Samsung’s next-gen flagship smartphone might have a pressure-sensitive touchscreen display similar to the one used in the Apple iPhone 6S. And the Samsung Galaxy S6 may also have a USB Type-C port with support for fast charging, much like the Google Nexus 5X and 6P smartphones.
That’s according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, which also says that the Samsung Galaxy S7 could launch in March.
Samsung hasn’t made any official statements about the upcoming smartphone yet, but the WSJ says “people familiar with the matter” have confirmed that it will support force touch and fast charging.
The company is also reportedly thinking about putting a retina scanner in the phone, allowing you to login by looking at the camera, much the way you can with Microsoft’s Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones.
It’s likely the Samsung Galaxy S7 will also feature an Exynos 8 processor with higher performance and lower power consumption than the Exynos 7 chips used in the company’s 2015 flagship phones.
