Chinese tablets aren’t exactly known for their high price tags. But it’s still kind of impressive to see what you can get for $100 these days.
The Chuwi Vi8 Plus is a Windows tablet with an 8 inch display, an Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor, and a USB Type C port. You can buy one from Banggood for $100 or from Geekbuying for $98.
The tablet isn’t exactly a top-of-the-line device. It doesn’t have a full HD display, and it has the slowest Cherry Trail chip available. But for a quarter of the price of a new iPad mini, here’s what you get:
- 8GB, 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display
- Intel Atom x5-Z8300 quad-core processor
- Windows 10
- 2GB of RAM
- 32GB of eMMC storage
- microSD card slot
- micro HDMI port
- 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0
- 2MP front and rear cameras
- 4,000 mAh battery
The tablet measures 8.3″ x 4.9″ x 0.4″ and weighs a little over 12 ounces.
If the tablet seems familiar, that’s because it’s an updated version of the Chuwi Vi8 dual-OSÂ tablet with an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor that launched earlier this year.
