The DelL Venue 8 Pro 3000 Series is a Windows tablet with an 8 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, an Intel Atom Z3735F processor, and a list price of $199.

But right now it’s on sale for $99. That price gets you the tablet plus a 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365. And while the tablet ships with Windows 8.1, it’s eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10 once Microsoft’s new operating system launches July 29th.

While this isn’t the cheapest Windows tablet I’ve ever seen, it’s certainly one of the best prices I’ve seen on a model from Dell.

  1. FYI, the Dell Venue 8 Pro 3000 does NOT have/support an active stylus.

    1. Au contraire. There is an optional active stylus. I have one, cost about $40 iirc, but hardly use the tablet, let alone the stylus. 8″ is just too small for the Windows desktop applications I regularly use.

  2. “Word on the street” is that the performance of the Dell Venue 8 is hampered by it only having 1GB of RAM. I do not have any first-hand experience with this Windows tablet. That being said, $99 sure buys you a lot these days!

    1. I have an Insignia 8″ Windows tablet. It doesn’t really suffer from having only 1GB RAM. (part of it is due in part to running the 32-bit version of Windows).

  3. Thats an excellent deal. But I’ll stick with my Surface RT, just got it refurbished so I am good.
