You can never have too much battery life… but modern phones, smartwatches, and other gadgets don’t exactly suffer from that problem. There are hundreds of portable battery packs that you can use to recharge your phone on the go… but Samsung is introducing a new product that could let you keep the power bank at home.
It’s a $20 Power Sharing Cable which lets you use one Samsung gadget to charge another.
The cable has micro USB connectors on each end. Plug one into your phone or tablet and the other into any device that charges via micro USB and you can use your phone or tablet like a portable battery.
The Power Sharing Cable can draw power from recent Samsung devices including the Galaxy S4 and Note 4 smartphones, the Galaxy Tab S line of tablets, and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Avant phones.
So if you’ve got a tablet with a big battery in your bag, and a phone with a dying battery in your pocket, you can use the cable to top off your phone. And if you’ve got a watch that’s dying, but a phone with a fully charged battery, you can use the cable to top off the watch.
Looking for another option? Just pick up a micro USB OTG adapter and use it with any device that supports USB OTG. It might not be quite as elegant as a single-cable solution, but it could be a lot cheaper.

Damn right, $20 for a simple USB cable is a ripoff. This is nothing new, you can charge anything with OTG.
