The Dell Venue 8 Pro is a small, affordable Windows tablet with an Intel Atom Bay Trail quad-core processor, an 8 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, and an active digitizer that lets you use an optional digital pen (sold separately).

Dell introduced the tablet in late 2013 and currently sells it for $250 and up.

But you can often find it for a lower price. Right now TigerDirect is selling the tablet for $200, and if you don’t mind buying refurbished devices you can score one for $35 less from Altatac.

  1. The Dell VP8 is routinely available for about $155 refurb through the Dell outlet every time there is a coupon- which is about 1 week each month. The 64GB model goes for about $190. You can install WIMBoot, which frees up a fair amount of that RAM, but the install process is a bit tedious..
