Acer may have been the first company to launch a Chrome OS laptop with an Intel Core i3 Haswell processor. But it won’t be the last.

Dell unveiled details about an updated Dell Chromebook 11 with an Intel Core i3 processor at an event in Japan.

Dell already offers a Chromebook 11 for education and enterprise customers, but at the moment it’s only available with an Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell CPU.

The company will continue to offer the Celeron model, but a more powerful version with a Core i3 CPU and 4GB of RAM is on the way. Other features include an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, 802.11n WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0. Dell says the laptop should get up to 10 hous of battery life.

The laptop features a 720p webcam, 2 USB 3.0 ports, an SD card slot, and an HDMI port. It also supports TPM security.

  1. Hey hopefully you guys buy one and make a review of it on YouTube….
I’ll wait to see how well it performs…

  2. We never got the ARM version of the Dell Chromebook in Australia; hopefully this one is released locally as I believe the previous one was widely considered the best.
