The Acer Iconia Tab 8 is an 8 inch Android tablet with a 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS display and an Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor.

First spotted in online benchmarks in April, the tablet was officially unveiled in Taiwan just a few days before the start of the Computex trade show.

The tablet will be available in select markets starting in the third quarter of 2014. Right now there are no plans to offer this tablet in the United States, but that could change.

  1. They’d better put 2GB Ram (at least)! I’m tired seeing 1GB Windows-capable tablets all around. And make it WHITE, I mean not only in pre-production unit on the photo, but in retail boxes too – no tricks. And please, do not delay it, until it’s too late 🙂

  2. Please please o please let this be the tipping pointn to the death knell of 1280×800 screens on tablets. Please.

  3. Probably not in the US to give time for their other more tepid offerings to be sold off.
