The Asus Padfone Infinity is a line of Android phone/tablet hybrids with HD displays. The latest model consists of a 5 inch smartphone with a 1080p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU which can become a 10 inch tablet with a 1920 x 1200 pixel display when you slide the phone into a tablet dock.
Soon Asus plans to launch a cheaper version called the Asus Padfone Infinity Lite.

The company hasn’t revealed detailed specs for the Lite version, but Asus already has cheaper Padfones in its lineup. At CES the Taiwanese device maker introduced a Padfone mini with a 4 inch phone and 7 inch tablet dock.
Asus also recently introduced a high-end Padfone X with a 5 inch phone, 9 inch tablet dock, and Snapdragon 800 CPU, and a lower-priced model called the Padfone E with a 4.7 inch, 720p phone and a 10 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel tablet dock and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU.
If I’m right in thinking that the “Infinity” name is reserved for models with full HD or higher-resolution screens, then perhaps the upcoming Padfone Infinity Lite will have a 1080p display but a less powerful processor than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800.
Most members of the Padfone family are available in Taiwan and other select markets. The Padfone X and possibly the Padfone mini are expected to be the first to launch in the United States this year. It’s not clear what reginos the Padfone Infinity Lite will be available in.
