HP is launching a new Windows tablet with an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, an Intel Haswell processor, and a focus on business. It’s called the HP Pro x2 410, and it’s expected to sell for $899 and up.

This isn’t HP’s first 11.6 inch Windows tablet with a keyboard. The company also sells a line of models with Intel Atom or Pentium processors under the x2 name. But the HP Pro x2 packs a bit more power thinks to a choice of Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processor.

HP will offer models with up to 256GB of storage and says you should be able to get up to 12 hours of battery life when you use the tablet and keyboard together (there’s a separate battery in each part.

The tablet weighs about 1.8 pounds. Add the keyboard dock and you’ve basically got a 3.8 pound laptop. While that makes this system a bit chunky for an ultraportable, its not bad for a laptop with up to a Core i5 processor and up to 12 hours of battery life.

Business-friendly features include a TPM security module, while consumer-oriented features include Beats audio. There are 2MP cameras on both the front and back of the tablet.

  1. So, in order to get an 11″ x2 that works right from HP, you have to spend $900. The 11″ x2 I had was buggy and the battery lasted for about 5 hrs. That was with a Bay Trail processor, too.
