The HP Chromebook 11 is a small notebook with a Samsung Exynos 5250 processor, a bright display, and a $279 price tag. But now you can also pick up a model with built-in 4G LTE functionality for $379 or less.

Best Buy has the new models available in stores.

HP Chromebook 11

Like the WiFi-only model, the new HP Chromebook 11 with LTE has Samsung’s ARM Cortex-A15 dual-core processor, an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel IPS display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

But this model also has an Altair 4G chip to support Verizon’s 4G LTE network. If you add the Chromebook to your Verizon 4G data plan for $10 per month, there’s also a $50 rebate, which brings the price of the Chromebook to $329.

That’s not bad for a 2.3 pound laptop that you can use just about anywhere… whether there’s a WiFi signal or not.

  1. I’m curious what $10 add on to Verizon data plan means. There is no info at Best Buy or Verizon. I have a (grandfathered) unlimited smartphone data plan.Anyone have clues?

    1. You must have a “Share Everything” plan in order to add a device for $10 a month. With one of those plans, you can share your monthly allotted data between multiple devices (with each device beyond your first costing an additional $10 a month). Since you have a grandfathered unlimited data plan, you won’t be able to take advantage of this. You’d have to purchase a separate data plan exclusively for the Chromebook.
