HP is updating its business-friendly ultrabook lineup. Last year the company launched the EliteBook Folio 9470m, measuring 0.75 inches thick, and weighing 3.5 pounds. This year the company is replacing it with the HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 which is 0.62 inches thick, and 3.3 pounds.

Like its predecessor, the new model has a rugged case, shock and vibration resistance and the ability to withstand extreme heat and cold.

HP has upgraded the display, processor, and other basic specs though. The HP EliteBook Folio 1040G is available with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 Haswell processor and customers can choose between a 1600 x 900 pixel or 1920 x 1080 pixel 14 inch touchscreen display.

Another new feature is a Synaptics ForcePad in the place where you’d normally find a touchpad. It’s a pressure-sensitive touch area that lets you push instead of clicking.

HP also offers a docking station that makes it easy to access a printer and other accessories, and the EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 is available with optional 4G LTE wireless support.

Unfortunately there are a few things the new model doesn’t have — including VGA and Ethernet jacks. You’ll need a docking station or adapter if you want to get either of those things back.

The HP EliteBook Folio G1 is available now with prices starting at $1299.
