Most major PC makers seem to have 10 inch Windows tablets with Intel Bay Trail processors on the way. Most are aimed at consumers, but the Fujitsu Stylistic Q584 is an enterprise model with a semi-rugged design.
It can withstand humidity, dust, and even rain, which makes this waterproof 1.4 pound tablet useful for folks working outdoors or in other messy environments.
The Fujitsu Stylistic Q584 features an Intel Atom Z3770 quad-core processor and will be available with Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Pro software. It supports 64GB to 128GB of solid state storage, and features a 10.1 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel IPS display.
The tablet has a dual-digitizer, which means you can either use your fingers to interact with the touchscreen, or use a pressure-sensitive digital pen.
Other features include a USB 3.0 port, micro USB 2.0 port, SmartCard slot, flash card reader, dual-array mic, headset jack, 8MP rear camera, and 2MP front-facing camera.
The tablet measures about 10.5″ x 7.1″ x 0.6″ and Fujitsu says it should be able to get up to 10 hours of battery life.
Fujitsu’s tablet will be available in a variety of configurations, including models featuring 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, UMTS, LTE, and GPS connectivity.
wish they’d release a consumer version non-rugged/water proof, 1080p display, keep the digitizer and the processor 32gb for 1/3 the price and they’d have my money. I am an artist I don’t draw under water…
This is the ultimate Bay-trail machine.
