Smartphones are designed to be mobile devices, letting you not only make calls, but surf the internet, listen to music, read books, or play games on the go. But let’s face it: odds are you spend about half your day sitting at a desk staring at a computer screen.
It looks like Motorola plans to bridge the gap between your PC and phone with a new browser extension for Google Chrome.
Once installed, it’ll let users receive notifications for phone calls and text messages on their laptop or desktop. Like most Chrome extensions, this should work with Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chrome OS.
But it’ll only work if you have one of Motorola’s new phones including the Motorola Droid Mini, Droid Ultra, Droid MAXX, or Moto X.
None of those phones are actually available yet, but the browser extension showed up in the Chrome web store today, so you can install it in anticipation. Or just look at the pretty screenshots.
