Cube has been offering some of the better Chinese tablets I’ve seen in recent months. Now the company is planning to enter the TV box space with a new Android media player called the Cube A1.

It’s a small box that looks like a WiFi router, but which is designed to let you run Android apps on your TV.

Cube A1

The Cube A1 has a 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor, runs Android 4.1 software, and connects to the internet over a WiFi or Ethernet connection.

It comes with a wireless remote control which you can use to control media playback or perform basic Android tasks (there are direction buttons and dedicated keys for home, back, menu, and mouse pointer mode.

The device also has a few USB ports, an HDMI port, and a microSD card reader.

That’s about all the details I can make out from the Chinese language product page. If you’ve noticed anything we’ve missed, let us know in the comments!
