Tawainese device maker and app developer BungBungame is showing off a new 10 inch Android tablet with a high resolution display and an NVIDIA Tegra 4 ARM Cortex-A15 quad-core processor.
It’s called the Kalos tablet, and the folks at Mobile Geeks got a chance to check out a demo unit at Computex.
The tablet features a 10.1 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel IPS display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It has a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and two LED lights for flash.
The Kalos tablet has a microSD card slot, SIM card slot, USB port, and a docking connector.
It’s currently running Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, but that could change to something newer by the time the tablet ships.
BungBungame isn’t exactly a household name in the West, and it’s not clear if the company’s Kalos tablet will ever go on sale in the US or Europe. But it wouldn’t be the first time the company tried to enter the US market. A few years ago BungBungame introduced a Windows 7 tablet powered by an AMD processor.
In English slang, the word bung is attributed to blockage or bum. You know, I’m feeling bunged up? Or remember the Beavis and Butthead cartoon character saying TP for my bunghole? Ya well that’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this company’s name and unfortunately I don’t take their products seriously. Bumbumgame or Bungbungame, if you’re coming to North America, change the name…
Oh my, that is something isn’t it?
Very nice specs, and a very nice looking piece but yeah, cha-ching! $$$
Just watch. Toshiba-level pricing.
With the specs listed the price won’t be cheap. Might we worth it though. At the very least I would like to read a hands on review.
specs look awesome!
hope it doesn’t go above $360
