Fujitsu’s latest ultrabook features a Intel Core i5 Haswell processor and a 500GB hybrid hard drive with solid state cache for quick startup. But what really makes the Fujitsu Lifebook UH90/L stand out is the display.

The ultrabook features a 14 inch, 3200 x 1800 pixel IGZO screen.

According to Fujitsu, the thin bezel around the edge of the screen allows the company to fit the 14 inch display into a laptop that’s about the size of a typical 13 inch model.

Not only does the laptop have a 262 pixel-per-inch screen, but like most Haswell-powered ultrabooks, it also has a touchscreen.

Under the hood the laptop packs an Intel Core i5-4200U processor with Intel HD 4400 graphics.

The notebook is expected to go on sale June 28th for an unspecified price.

  1. Let me help you out with the price: ~!@#$ expensive! Fujitsu makes wonderful equipment. I have only had the pleasure of working with it, never owning it. Too pricey for me. I can dream though. 😉

    1. Not much impressed with their laptop cases… cheap plastic bombers.

Their only reason to live is the hubbub about the corporate security stuff. They do include things like docking bays and secondary this or that in the box, but at their prices, you could also buy a computer from any other company and load up on every optional item available.

With electronics being all the same, display, keyboard and case quality have become the main differentiators. And among other things, keyboards always seem to flex and sag less when mounted in metal cases.

So, we’ll see how this model compares to Samsung, Toshiba and Asus units with IGZO displays when it comes out.
