Barnes & Noble isn’t the only bookseller offering a Mother’s Day sale on tablets. Amazon is offering its 7 inch Kindle Fire HD for $20 off this week, bringing the price down to $179.

Of course, for the same price you could get the NOOK HD+ or you could buy the NOOK HD for $149 and install the Amazon Kindle app yourself. But then you wouldn’t get some Amazon-only features including access to the Amazon Instant Video app or the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library for Prime subscribers.
