Samsung’s new 8-inch Android tablet with a digital pen is now available in the UK for £339, or a little over $500 US. And when I say the UK, I mean the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 will be available in Samsung’s flagship store in London. It should be more widely available soon.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 features a 1.6 GHz Samsung Exynos 4 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot if that’s not enough storage for you.
It has a 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 4600mAh battery, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 5MP rear camera. There’s also an IR port for folks that want to use the tablet as a TV remote control.
Like other members of the Galaxy Note family, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also works with a digital pen, allowing you to write or draw on the screen with pressure-sensitive input. While many Android apps aren’t really designed for that kind of scribbling, Samsung offers a suite of note-taking and drawing apps under the S-Pen name.
The tablet runs Android 4.1.2, and for a limited time starting April 15th, UK customers will also get a few bonus features including a £20 voucher to spend in the Samsung Learning Hub, a two-month free trial to The Times newspaper, and a month of free access to the Samsung Music Hub.

UK electronics end up being the same in pounds as dollars, so if it’s 339 over there, it will end up being $339 over here.
Way too expensive… I’ve been waiting for this… but I guess I’ll go buy an Ipad mini now. Thanks for making the decision for me lol
