Sony is now selling ultrabooks with 14 and 15.5 inch touchscreen displays. The new Sony Vaio T14 and Vaio T15 join the 13 inch touchscreen ultrabook Sony launched last year.
The company first announced plans to launch the larger models in January, but now they’re available from the Sony Store, where you can pick up a touchscreen ultrabook for $770 and up.
The 13 and 14 inch notebooks feature 1366 x 768 pixel displays, while the Sony Vaio T15 has a 1920 x 1080 pixel full HD display.
Each model comes with 4GB or more of RAM, a 320GB or larger hard drive, and a 24 GB solid state cache drive. Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor options are available.
Interestingly, the 15 inch model has a lower starting price tag ($770) than the 14 inch version ($900), despite having a higher-resolution display. That’s probably because Sony only appears to be offering the Vaio T14 with a Core i5 processor and 6GB of RAM at the moment, while the Vaio T15 is available with less memory and a slower processor.
