Ouya and GameStick may be busy working to bring Android games to your living room with miniature gaming consoles. And NVIDIA may be working to combine an Android tablet and a traditional video game console with its Project Shield handheld gaming device with a built-in controller.

But Sunflex is taking a different approach, by offering a standalone unu tablet aimed at gaming… along with accessories that let you use it as a video game console in your living room

The idea is that can play games using the touchscreen tablet, hook up a wireless game controller for some hard-core gaming action on the go, and plug the tablet into an HDTV via a docking station to play those games on a big screen.

There’s also an air mouse which you can use to navigate the Android user interface on your TV, although Sunflex uni also features a custom UI for gaming. But the air-mouse could come in handy for touch-based Android games. The back of the mouse also features a keyboard.

Sunflex has yet to reveal the price or launch date for the unu system.

One reply on “Sunflex unu puts an Android gaming console into a tablet-sized… tablet”

  1. I have to chuckle because as a tech geek I’ve assembled a similar collection that stuff to enhance my tablet.
The accessories seems pretty well thought out, and seems to cover all the bases, if you are looking to collect the same gaggle of handy items and have ’em all sport the same logo.
