MSI is selling a new low-cost 7 inch tablet called the MSI Enjoy 71. It sells for about $172 in Taiwan, but doesn’t seem to be available in the US yet.
The tablet features a 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.5 GHz Amlogic AM8726 dual core processor, and Android 4.0 software.
In other words, if you spend $30 more on a Nexus 7 tablet you get a faster processor and a higher resolution display. But the MSI Enjoy 71 does have a few things going for it.
MSI’s new budget tablet has a mini HDMI port and microSD card slot, both of which Google’s tablet lacks.
The Enjoy 71 features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 2MP rear camera and a front-facing VGA camera. It has a 3200mAh battery. The tablet measures 7.5″ x 4.7″ x 0.35″ and weighs 10.6 ounces.
