Alcatel’s latest One Touch tablet is a 7 inch Android tablet with a 1.6 GHz Rockchip RK3066 dual-core processor, and Android 4.1 software. The Alcatel One Touch EVO7 HD ships as a WiFi-only tablet, but unlike most tablets there’s an option to upgrade it with a 3G/4G module.
There’s a compartment on the back of the tablet that you can open to insert or remove the mobile broadband component.
While the fact that you can upgrade the wireless capabilities helps set this tablet apart from the competition, that’s pretty much its only defining characteristic. Other specs, including the 1024 x 600 pixel and optional flip covers are a little less exciting.
There’s no word on te price or launch date for the new tablet.
