Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon is a thin and light ultrabook with a sturdy carbon-fiber case. Right now Lenovo ships the 3 pound laptop with Windows 7, but a new Windows 8 model is set to launch in December.
According to a teaser page, the upcoming model will feature an HD+ touchscreen display with support for 10-finger input. It also has a built-in touchpad and TouchPoint button in the center of the keyboard and supports Windows 8 touchpad gestures.
That’s about all we know about the new model, but the existing X1 Carbon has a 1600 x 900 pixel display and supports up to an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of solid state disk space.
If you don’t care about touchscreens or Windows 8, You can pick up a Windows 7 model for $1124 and up using Lenovo’s BLACKFRIDAY coupon code.
