Coby MID7060 7 inch tablet in the works

Coby’s Kyros MID1060 isn’t the company’s only new Android 4.0 tablet. A 7 inch model called the Coby Kyros MID7060 also showed up at the FCC website this week.

The tablet has a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel capacitive touchscreen display and a 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor.

While the user manual doesn’t specify the processor, the internal photos show that it has the same Amlogic AML8726-MX CPU as the tablet’s 10 inch sibling.

The 7 inch model has 1GB of RAM, 4GB to 8GB of storage, a microSDHC card slot, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a microUSB port, and mini HDMI port. There’s also a built-in mic and camera.

There’s no word on a price or release date. Coby will probably post more details in the tablet section of its website once it gets around to officially launching the MID7060.
