The Fujitsu Sylistic Q572 is a 10 inch tablet aimed at the business and enterprise markets. Like a lot of new tablets, it will ship with Windows 8. But unlike almost every other tablet on the market today, it will have an AMD Z-60 Hondo processor.

Fujitsu and AMD announced the tablet earlier this week, and while there’s still no word on the price or release date, the Stylistic Q572 showed up at the FCC website this week, which is a step it has to take before the tablet can go on sale in the US.

The AMD Z-60 processor is a 1 GHz dual core processor with Radeon HD 6250 graphics for HD video and 3D graphics acceleration. The chip uses about 4.5 watts of power, making it about 20 percent more efficient than the last AMD chip designed for tablets, while offering virtually the same performance.

Fujitsu’s new tablet measures 10.8″ x 6.9″ x 0.55″ and weighs about 1.5 pounds. It has a dual-digitizer which means you can use a digital pen or your fingers to control the device or write or draw on the screen.

The tablet has a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI, Ethernet, and an SDXC card reader. According to Fujitsu’s website the Stylistic Q552 has a 10.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, but the pre-production sample sent to the FCC had a 1280 x 800 pixel display. It sounds like both screen types may be available as options, although some Windows 8 features work best with a 1366 x 768 pixel or higher resolution display.

The tablet supports Bluetooth and WiFi and includes a SIM card slot for optional 3G.

  1. USB 3.0 is a definite plus.
I hope for a keyboard with second battery dock.
But the design of that thing is not its strong suit to say the least.
No, let’s see the price. With an AMD cpu, it should be cheaper than a equivalent CloverTrail model.
