Dell first ultrabook coming soon for $899 and up

The Dell Latitude 6430u is the first ultrabook from Dell. It features a 14 inch display, weighs 3.7 pounds, and measures 0.82 inches thick.

When Dell first unveiled the laptop last month the company provided plenty of details… but no price. Now Dell says the Latitude 6430u will be available soon for $899 and up.

As part of Dell’s Latitude lineup, this ultrabook is designed for business, education, and enterprise markets. It’s been tested against US military standards for ruggedness and other features, and Dell offers options including fingerprint scanners and TPM security modules.

The laptop is available with Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 Ivy Bridge processors, and offers up to 10 hours of battery life.

It features a 1366 x 768 pixel display, WiFi, Bluetooth, VGA and HDMI, a back-lit keyboard, and up to 256GB of solid state disk storage. The laptop has a magnesium alloy chassis and a spill-resistant keyboard.
