Zero Devices is taking pre-orders for the upcoming Z902 Android 4.0 Mini PC. This little PC on a stick is about the size of a large USB thumb drive, but it’s really a tiny PC with its own processor, memory, storage, and input and output ports.

The Z902 will eventually sell for $89, but you can place a pre-order from AsiaPads now and pick up one of the first 500 units for $75. It should ship by the end of the month.

Zero Devices Z902

The Zero Devices Z902 features an Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 1GB of RAM,  and 4GB of storage. It has a microSDHC card slot for extra storage, WiFi, an HDMI connector, 1 USB 2.0 port, and 2 mini USB ports.

You can use the HDMI connector to plug the Z902 straight into a TV or monitor, and use the USB ports to connect a mouse, keyboard, or remote control.

The Z902 is a lot like the MK802 or Zero Devices Z802. But the new model features more USB ports and more RAM than the original models.

Out of the box it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but since the Z902 has an Allwinner A10 processor it should be able to run Ubuntu, Fedora, Puppy, and other Linux-based operating systems as well.

It’s certainly not the most powerful computer around. But it’s one of the cheapest, and it looks like it’s a little better than the MK802 thanks to the extra USB port. For $75, you could use the device as a cheap PC, a media center companion for your TV, or a toy for playing Android games on a big screen.

  1. Why would anyone purchase a MiniPC with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) rather than 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or later? The new UG007 II has an additional USB OTG connector and runs Android 4.1.1 (Waiting for mine to arrive in the US.)

  2. Got one of these, after power up displays zero-devices splash screen, then android splash screen then nothing. Have seen this reported on xda too. No re image files on “VIP” area of zero devices, customer support ignore emails. Avoid.

  3. Hello! I’m from Russia. I’m interested about warranty and how way in which delivery will take place to Chelyabinsk, Russia????? P.S.: I’m sorry for my english)))

  4. more than 1GHZ dual core processor will definitely boost the performance.

  5. Hello.
I’m a deaf-blind user and don’t care about the display, but do care about sound and Bluetooth for braille. Does anyone know whether this will have a 3.5 MM output jack or, for that matter, any sound output other than HDMI?

    1. Hi,
      1. When you connect this stick to a HDMI TV the sound will be directly transferred to TV via HDMI.
      2. This device is compatible with USB sound cards which have 3.5mm output

  6. Is it better than mk802 in terms of speed? Can you please mention which keyboard mouse (in built) combo can work great with it? Any idea if it supports logitech revue keyboard (basically unifying receiver technology which I doubt as it will need drivers for that), the one that I love most, and is only reason not to change it yet. Please shade some light. Been trying to find this out for a while now. Want to use it as media center with my TV instead of revue. Thanks.
