Verizon has is now offering Android phone and tablet users the ability to play over 100 games for a flat monthly fee of $5.99.

The GameTanium service includes 100 games for Android phones and 50 titles for tablets. Games include Fruit Ninja, Doodle God, and World of Goo.

GameTanium

The service is actually powered by Exent — and it’s available for anyone to download and install on their own. But I believe Verizon is the first US wireless carrier to partner with Exent to bring GameTanium to customers.

Verizon will also link GameTanium to user accounts, so the subscription fee can be added to your monthly bill.

GameTanium could be a good deal for casual gamers that spend more than $6 per month on apps right now and don’t need the latest titles. It’s sort of like Netflix for Android games.

On the other hand, the selection of games included in the service pales in comparison with the tens of thousands of free and paid games available from the Google Play Store.
