Panasonic Eluga Live tablet visits the FCC

Consumer electronics maker Pansonic offers a few tablets in the US: But they’re all part of the company’s rugged and high-priced ToughPad or ToughBook lines.

Now it looks like Panasonic could be preparing to release a mainstream Android tablets in the States. The Panasonic Eluga Live P-08D showed up at the FCC website this week.

Panasonic Eluga P-08D

According to Engadget, the Eluga Live P-08D features a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP dual core processor, a 10.1 inch display, and a 1.3MP front-facing camera (and no rear camera).

It weighs about 1.5 pounds and may be able to run on AT&T’s wireless network.

Any device with wireless communications features have to go through the FCC before they can go on sale in the US… but not every tablet that stops by the FCC actually makes it to market. So there’s no guarantee the Panasonic Eluga Live P-08D will be available in the US any time soon.
