The last time we saw the Lenovo IdeaTab S2110Â tablet with an optional keyboard docking station was at CES. At the time Lenovo was calling it the IdeaTab S2 10… which could still be the model number the company will use when it releases the tablet.
But this week it showed up at the FCC website as the Lenovo IdeaTab S2110A… not to be confused with the IdeaTab S2110 prototype tablet with an Intel Medfield processor.
According to the user manual, this tablet will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 dual core processor. There’s no mention of Google Android in the manual, but I’d be surprised if this tablet ran any other operating system.
The IdeaTab S2110A has a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional 3G. It features a micro HDMI connector, a micro USB port, and front and rear cameras, as well as a 2 cell, 23.4 Whr battery.
It will be available with 1GB of DDR2 memory and 16GB to 64GB of storage.
Lenovo will also offer an optional keyboard docking station which adds 2 USB 2.0 ports.
The tablet measures 10.2″ Â x 7″ x 0.34″ and weighs 1.3 pounds. The keyboard dock is 10.2″ x 7.5″ x 0.39″ and weighs another 1.3 pounds, which means the tablet and keyboard together weigh about as much as a netbook.
There’s no word on how much the IdeaTab S2110A will cost or when it will be available.
“There’s no mention of Google Android in the manual, but I’d be surprised if this tablet ran any other operating system.”
I wouldn’t be too suprised since the optional doc has Windows keys.
Nice tablet except the one shown at CES had the S4 Krait processor which is a whole ‘nother animal.
I think they’ll upgrade as soon as they can get their hands on some… For now, with the shortage of 28nm chips caused by TMSC, it’s mission impossible.
