The HP Envy Spectre XT ultrabook weighs just over 3 pounds, measures less than 0.7 inches thick, and has a 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display. It’s HP’s thinnest and lightest laptop with a screen that size, and now it’s available for pre-order for $999.99.
When HP announced the Envy Spectre XT, the company said it would ship on June 8th… but it looks like that date has slipped a bit. It’s now expected to actually start shipping later this month.
The ultraportable laptop features a 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5-3317u Ivy Bridge processor, 4GB of memory, and a 128GB solid state disk. It also has 2 USB ports, a headset jack, SD card slot, HDMI port, and a battery which HP claims will be good for up to 8 hours of run time.
You can also customize the laptop with a 256GB SSD, a Core i7 processor, or an upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Pro or Ultimate, but those options will cost you.
