ES File Explorer for Android adds SkyDrive support

Google Drive is cool and all, what with the 5GB of online storage users get for free. But Microsoft offers 7GB of free storage with Windows Live SkyDrive (or up to 25GB for some users).

Now there’s an easy way to access your SkyDrive account from an Android device.

ES File Explorer with SkyDrive

Microsoft offers official SkyDrive apps for Windows Phone and iOS, but suggests Android users login to SkyDrive using a web browser.

But now the developers of the popular ES File Explorer app for Android have added SkyDrive support. All you have to do is open the Net tab, tap the New button, choose SkyDrive from the list, and enter your username and password.

Then you can browse files stored in your SkyDrive account, copy files to or from your online storage space, or open files directly and stream them from SkyDrive without first downloading them to your device.

ES File Explorer also supports Box, SugarSync, and Dropbox and you can use it to access shared network drives or FTP sites.
