Acer Iconia Tab A700 visits the FCC, inches toward release

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 is a 10 inch Android tablet with a high resolution 1920 x 1200 pixel display and an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor.

Acer started showing off an early build of the tablet at CES in January, but we haven’t seen much of it since then.

Now the Iconia Tab A700 is making its way through the FCC, which is a pretty good indication that Acer is at least thinking about bringing the tablet to market this summer.

Aside from a product label and confirmation that the tablet will support WiFi, there’s not much information in the FCC listing.

We’ll have to wait a little longer to get details about the tablet’s physical dimensions, storage, memory, cameras, and other components.

The Iconia Tab A700 will join Acer’s existing Iconia Tab A510 and A200 tablets which have 10 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel displays and NVIDIA Tegra 3 and Tegra 2 processors, respectively.

With the A510 selling for $449 and up and the A200 starting at about $299, it’s likely that the new A700 will be the most expensive of Acer’s Android tablets — although there’s still no official word on the pricing yet.
