The Huawei MediaPad was the first 7 inch tablet to ship with Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb when the tablet launched. But Android 3.2 is so 2011… fortunately Huawei has released a software update for the tablet that allows it to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

You can find the new software in the downloads section at the MedaiPad website.

Android 4.0 (russian)

The new software appears to be pretty close to a stock Google Android 4.0 experience without many customizations. That means you get a new and improved camera app and gallery app, a new people app, the ability to dismiss apps from the recently used menu, and a number of performance tweaks.

Android 4.0 also has a more consistent look and feel throughout the operating system and I find it generally easier to use than Android 3.2.

The Huawei MediaPad features a 7 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, front and rear cameras, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
