MeeGo may be a dead Linux distribution walking, but its successor Tizen isn’t ready for prime time yet. So the folks behind the open source MeeGo Linux operating system have released one more software update — to add support for Intel’s new Cedar Trail processors.

MeeGo 1.2.0.6 is now available for download. There update fixes a few bugs, but the biggest change is support for Intel Atom N2600 and N2800 processors for netbooks as well as D2xxx series chips for desktop computers.
The operating system includes a display driver including a kernel and closed source libraries for 2D and 3D graphics. There’s support for Adobe Flash content, and hardware acceleration support for decoding Ogg videos.
You can find a detailed list of updates and known issues in the release notes.
