Archos G9 tablets with Android 4.0 up for pre-order ($270 and up)

The Archos G9 tablets are the first tablets from the company to feature Android 3.2 Honeycomb and access to the Google Android Market. But soon Archos will start loading its 8 and 10 inch tablets with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Dynamism is already taking pre-orders for the new models.

Dynamism will offer three different models of the Archos 101 G9 with Ice Cream Sandwich:

  • With 8GB flash storage for $329.99
  • With 16GB flash storage for $349.99
  • With 250GB hard drive for $389.99

All three models will have 10 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel displays, 1.5 GHz TI OMAP4 dual core processors, 1GB of RAM, and microSDHC card slots for extra storage.

The tablet measures 10.9″ x 6.6″ x 0.5″ and weighs just under 1.5 pounds. It has GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth, a mic and front-facing camera, and Archos promises up to 10 hous of battery life.

Dynamism expects the 8GB and 16GB models to ship in March, with the hard drive version shipping a month later.

Archos 80 G9 ICS

The Archos 80 G9 is virtually identical to the Archos 101 in most respects, but it has a smaller 8 inch screen with a 1024 x 768 pixel display resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Dynamism will offer three versions of this model as well:

  • With 8GB flash storage for $269.99
  • With 16GB flash storage for $289.99
  • With 250GB hard drive for $369.99

Like the 10 inch tablets, the Archos 80 G9 ICS tablets with flash storage are expected to ship in March while the hard drive model will follow in April.
