eFun is rolling out a new line of inexpensive Nextbook tablets with Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with prices as low as $149.
For that price what you gt is the Nextbook Premium 7, a tablet with a 1 GHz ARM Rockchip RK2918 Cortex-A8 single core processor and a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display. It may even be available for as little as $129 on sale.
If you’re looking for a higher resolution screen, the Nextbook Premium 8 has an 8 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display and a $179 price tag (although I’m told it could sell for as little as $149).
Both the 7 and 8 inch tablets have front cameras, but no rear cameras.
The Nextbook Premium 10 has a larger 9.7 inch, 1024 x 768 pixel display and a 1.1 GHz processor as well as front and rear cameras. Â It will have a list price of $229 and could sell for as little as $199.
All three Nextbook Premium tablets are expected to launch around February.
The company is also hoping to bring out a dual core 9.7 inch tablet called the Nextbook Elite 10 by March or April. That model will have a 1.1 GHz Broadcom dual core CPU, a 1024 x 768 pixel display, and a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front-fcing camera.
