The Asus Eee PC 1225B isn’t available for purchase in the US yet, but the folks at Eee PC.it noticed that it’s already available in Italy — and they’ve placed an order.

The notebook has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, making it a hair smaller than the other 12.1 inch Eee PC 12xx series notebooks that have been released over the last few years. The new model will be available with a choice of a 1 GHz AMD C-60 dual core processor or 1.65 GHz AMD E-450 dual core chip.

If you get the cheaper model with the C-60 chip you’ll also get Radeon HD 6290 graphics, while the E-450 processor is paired with faster Radeon HD 6320 graphics. Both graphics processors offer support for HD video playback and DirectX 11 graphics and both laptop models feature HDMI output.

Other features include a VGA port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, Ethernet, audio jacks, a flash card reader, and a 6 cell, 56Whr battery. The notebook measures 11.7″ x 7.9″ x 1.4″ and weighs about 3.2 pounds.

The notebook sells for about 375 Euros ($477 US) in Italy, but it will likely be much cheaper when it’s available in the US.

Asus also introduced several new Eee PC netbooks with 10 inch displays and Intel Atom Cedar Trail processors recently. Some of those mini-laptops are already available for pre-order in the States.
