Pogoplug Mobile

Pogoplug makes a line of low power home server devices. Now the company has introduced a little box aimed at users that want to be able to stream media to their smartphones or tablets while they’re on the go.

In other words, you pay $79.99 for the Pogoplug Mobile device, connect it to your home network and you can access your entire music or movie collection on the go, even if your mobile phone only has a few gigabytes of storage space.

The Pogoplug Mobile uses SD cards or USB flash drives or hard drives for storage and allows you to stream content to a mobile device running Android or iOS. If you’re using an iOS device you can also backup photos or videos shot with your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to the Pogoplug mobile for safe keeping.

The Pogoplug Mobile is expected to ship in October, but it’s up for pre-order starting today.
