Netbook Navigator is getting ready to ship a 7 inch tablet running Windows 7. The company has been showing off the Nav7 since March, but UMPC Portal reports that the tablet will finally go on sale next month.
While most tablets on the market these days have ARM-based processors and mobile operating systems such as Android or iOS, the Nav7 is designed to run Windows 7. It has a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, up to 2GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of storage. The computer also has a touchpad and mouse buttons. They’re located on the back of the computer so you can swipe and click with your fingers while gripping the tablet with two hands.
The Nav7 weighs about 1.2 pounds and has a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display and a 19Whr battery. When you combine that with the Intel Atom processor, you’ll probably only get a couple of hours of battery life. The good news is that the battery is user replaceable.
The tablet will have a starting price of $599 for a model with a 16GB solid state disk and no operating system. Prices go up if you want additional storage, memory, or optional 3G.

Main issues is whether they will give the GMA 500 good driver support and the lack of video output ports could be a issue for some.
